So much love and fun on Friday night at The Standard. A mega thank you to Claire Darrow who makes things happen there and who got me involved in making a new edition and piece for The Shop. If you’re loving what the shop looks like and all the goods within just look for Claire…her magic put it all together. And Anna Sheffield, you know, the beauty that makes all these jewels…she’s got some preeeeettty nice pieces in there to see, try on, and hope to go home with. But back to being lucky. It’s Valentine’s day and I’m in Madrid for my sweet’s show. I feel like quite the jet-setter. My project then off to another. I can hope this is a sign of my new year. Year of the Tiger! I don’t know anyone really in Madrid so if you’re reading this and you’re here, come to Brian’s show opening Feb. 17th! The work looks awesome! http://www.galeriajavierlopez.com/ I’ll be here indulging in art, wine, food, and wandering the streets… Thanks again to everyone who came to support the opening of The Shop and to check out my new work
I want to let you know about a new edition I have made exclusively for The Standard. The Standard Shop along with my edition and a new installation will open Friday, February 12th.
“All For You” is a limited edition of 50 porcelain apples. Each is unique and comes in a wooden box that has been hand burned with the edition details, signed, and numbered.
Working with the title of the edition, I will also create a new installation with Ring Pop candy on the interior wall of the shop. “All For You” will be left to melt and transform over time.
The edition is available on The Standard’s website and beginning February 12th will be available at the Shop.
Please visit the shop to see the edition and the installation when you have some time. The Shop’s entrance is around the corner from the hotel’s main entrance:

444 W. 13th Street (or through the lobby of the hotel)
I remember when I used to hate to read and my older sister tried to encourage me by recommending her favorite books.
When I read Catcher in the Rye, I wrote her a letter telling her how much I loved the book and I said, “OK, I’d like to read more of JD”. She couldn’t wait to write me back and called…she was dying laughing telling me how I shouldn’t refer to authors by their first name! Rather, I should have said “OK, I’d like to read more Salinger”. She followed by saying, it’s not like he’s your friend. I said, maybe he will be. That made her laugh even harder…
What a cutie! Brandee was photographed by Tom Allen for Twin magazine. She is basically all of the crew’s little sister.. And because she’s an amazing girl, she’s representing BB in this photo with the braided chain necklace!
Im SO in love with this picture I found in a magazine. The dresses, the hair, the makeup, just the whole visual makes me smile…ooh I just love it!! Sooo pretty!!!
The day after i got back from the whirlwind of Art Basel Miami 2009- another blog to come with some Miami highlights- us ladies got together for a craf-ty day organized by the amazing Robyn Forest. Simone Shubuck led the way with ornaments and Cindy Greene did a how-to in silkscreening, and I brought some goodies together so we could make terrariums. We had a fun day among awesome women…Anna Sheffield was in attendance and brought Marigold seeds to add to the mix. We were craft-ing with fellow blogger- Shelly, along with Gillian, Athena, Michelle, Annabel, Alex & Juliet. We’re planning another for next week so stay tuned. More tasty snacks, good people, and new craft-i-ness to come! Hosting at my studio soon…
By bf came back from LA with these as a gift…. Pretty effen cool if you ask me… All I had to drink was my roommates mikes hard spiced cider… Didn’t think milk was approprate, though I don’t think mikes was either… But you can imagine my surprise at discovering how delicious it was!! Might carry these with me to every holiday party this year – will be my true beer goggle excuse and sure conversation starter!!
