Let's take a walk down memory lane, shall we?Once upon a time, (eleven whole years ago), our NoHo store was actually an LES store. This is where Anna met the amazingly talented Nicholas Morgenstern and Chef Gerardo Gonzalez. As you may recall, Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream’s original location was on the Lower East Side on Rivington. As the story goes, the three got along famously. At this time, Anna was also gearing up to launch the Rosette Collection, (with a black diamond solitaire engagement ring set in rose gold)! And well, as you'll go onto read, an ASJ x Morgernstern ice cream flavor was born for Morgenstern's original Lower East Side location on Rivington.

Sweet Pairings and LES Days
JULY 20, 2025

These NYC dog days of summer has us wanting to cool off, and we’re reminiscing on our collabs with one of downtown Manhattan’s sweetest (and coolest) establishments, Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream.

A close-up image of pink strawberry ice cream with an image overlay of a woman's hand holding a Morgenstern's ice cream cone featuring a scoop of pink ice cream and candied black sesame seeds along the rim of the cone.
There are two images side by side. The image on the left is Anna Sheffield, jewelry designer, standing next to a man scooping pink ice cream from a plastic tub. The image on the right has an ice cream cone with two pink ice cream scoops on a cone encircled with choclate sprinkles and a man wearing a white apron and adding ingredients to a plastic tub.
The synergy was unreal. Morgenstern is of course known for concocting groundbreakinbg blends and ice cream flavors. Anna herself is known for unexpected pairings. Although the black diamond and salt and pepper diamond markets have grown over time, back in 2014, a black diamond engagement ring was rare. Thus, the trio began dreaming up the perfect, (and inventive), flavor profile. They ended up landing on a blend of prickly pear (shotout to Anna's Mexican and Southwestern roots), and Greek yogurt, served with a cone rim of candied black sesame seeds. The electric flavor was meant to mimic the aesthetic of our original Rosette solitaire ring and signature ASJ color story: black diamond pavé set in rose gold. Similarly, Morgenstern created a pretty-in-pink wedding cake moment to match the Rosette ceremonial buzz.
"You really see childlike wonder in everyone who has tried the flavor. Ordering an ice cream scoop is just something that makes you feel seven all over again."
- Anna
Partnering with Morgenstern was so much fun that we decided to team up again for National Ice Cream Day in 2019! In honor of one of our raddest national holidays, we sincerely hope you've enjoyed feasting your eyes on these colorful photos from our delicious past. We know these pics look good enough to eat, but seriously, treat yourself to a scoop today, (perhaps at Morgenstern's flagship Greenwich Village location)! 🍦

A Three-tier pink ombre (fading to black) wedding cake featuring candied sesame seeds at the bottom. At the top of the cake sits the Anna Sheffield Jewelry logo inside a chocolate heart.
A background featuring a close-up shot of cookies n' cream ice cream. There is an image overlayed that features a hand wearing two rings holding an ice cream cone against the backdrop of an NYC Lower East Side street. The ice cream cone features one scoop of raspberry sorbet and one scool of vanilla ice cream from Morgenstern's Fine Ice Cream.
